Come along to the July Spoken Word open mic event at 8:30 pm on Friday the 28th of this month. Last month's Spoken Word night was very entertaining and this month is sure to be the same. We are located at Mars Hill Cafe, opposite Brand Smart, at 331 Church Street, Parramatta. The night is open to do what you want to do - read or perform your original work, lyrics, songs, or perhaps you may like to perform, recite or read your favourite pieces of writing by other authors/artists. Or, perhaps you would just like to listen to others. See you there!

At One Word Friday, on 24th Feb 2006 Bravo Child performed his poetry to a packed audience. Bravo Child was the winner of the Sydney Poetry Slam and is a member of House-Cat Havoc, masters of The Word Wrestling Federation title of 2005. Our other special feature act was THE ROOKS from Cabramatta.

Jenny Campbell, Maria Friegh and Cath Stuart were the top scorers and go on to the finals on Thursday Dec 8, 6:30 pm at the State Library of NSW, Macqaurie St. Sydney. They will compete as individuals and also as a team.
